Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect my first visit?
The Golgi Clinic is a naturopathic primary care clinic in downtown Missoula. Each visit, our doctors take time to hear your concerns and create a unique treatment plan focused on addressing your concerns
During this visit your doctor may perform necessary physical exams or request lab work
What about follow-up visits?
Follow-up visits are tailored to provide patients with consistent care. The frequency of visits can vary depending on your particular health concern
Will my doctor interact with my other providers?
Yes, our doctors communicate relevant medical history, with the patient’s consent, to their other healthcare providers. This allows us to coordinate care and ensure that all areas of well-being are addressed
What about health insurance?
To better serve our patients the Golgi Clinic is not contracted with any insurance plan. This allows us to spend quality time with our patients without concern of insurance reimbursement. If you have insurance, we provide assistance with billing by providing you with necessary paperwork. Before your appointment, please inquire with your plan administrator whether you have out-of-network naturopathic medical coverage
Does Golgi offer discounts?
Why yes, we do! Any University of Montana student may receive 20% off their initial visit (new patient or craniosacral visit). If you are eco-minded, we offer 10% off an initial visit for walking, biking, skating, boating, or taking public transportation to our clinic. Please note, this discount does not apply to medicinary purchases or follow-up visits
Where should I park?
We strongly encourage the use of eco-friendly transportation (bike, bus, walk, boat, skate) and offer a discount to patients who do; see below. Bicycle parking is available both in front of our building on West Front Street and around back in Caras Park
Limited metered parking is available in front of our building, on West Front Street. An alternative is to park in the Caras Park Pavilion lot behind us. This option provides far more parking spaces and we gladly reimburse for parking
Where in the building is your clinic?
If you enter from West Front Street: take an immediate right upon entering the building, don’t go upstairs. Walk down the long corridor, past the elevator. Our door is to the right
If you enter from Caras Park: we are located one level up on the 2nd floor. Our door is to the left of the 2nd floor stairwell landing and to the right of the elevator landing
What is the Skype username for Dr. Friess or Dr. Martinez?
You can add the Golgi doctors to your Skype contacts by searching for: DrJeffreyFriess or DrTMartinez
What is Golgi?
In cellular biology, the golgi apparatus organizes and packages material for use inside and outside the human cell. Without it, the cell would fall into chaos. The function of our doctors is much like that of the golgi apparatus—to help transform and move our patients toward optimum health
How is Golgi “green”?
By encouraging and offering discounts for eco-friendly transportation and carbon footprint mindfulness, recycling and reusing whenever possible, and making purchase decisions that reflect and reward sustainable practices.
